Geraldine Neese
VENANGO — Geraldine Neese, 70, former postmaster at Venango, died Jan. 6, 1998, at St. Joseph Medical Center in Denver.
She was born Aug. 28, 1927, at Holyoke, Colo. She grew up near Venango and graduated from Venango High School in 1945. She attended the University of Nebraska for two years.
On June 18, 1947, she married Marvin Neese at St. Francis, Kan. They made their home in the Venango community the rest of their lives. He preceded her in death in 1988.
Mrs. Neese retired as Venango postmaster in 1989, after working for the postal service for 43 years.
She was a member of the Venango Community Church and the Venango American Legion Auxiliary.
In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by a son, Ronnie.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Venango Community Church with Pastor Eugene Layne officiating. Burial will be in the Venango Cemetery.
Bullock-Long Funeral Home of Grant is in charge of arrangements.
