Mary Florence Shiltz Mary Florence Shiltz, 86, of North Platte, died Jan. 15, 1999, at the North Platte Care Centre. She was born on Dec. 23, 1912, at Loomis, to Crete O. and Anna M. Peterson Cobb. She graduated from Grant High School with the class of 1930. She came to North Platte in 1942 and had resided here since. For a number of years, she was employed at Tucker’s Restaurant as a salad maker. She married George Shiltz on Nov. 24, 1967. She was a member of the Methodist Church. She was heavily involved with Brownies and Girl Scouts in North Platte since 1942. Survivors include three sons, Dale (Marlene) Peregrine of Hershey, Richard A. Peregrine of Florida and Robert G. (Patty) Rich of Denver, Colo.; a brother, Andrew Cobb of California and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three husbands and two daughters, Mary Jane and Anna Mae. Her remains were cremated. Memorial services will be held at a later date.
