Marian E. Thomason COZAD — Marian E. Thomason, 93, died Dec. 8, 1997, at Southview Manor Care Center in Cozad. She was born Feb. 14, 1904, at Abbott to Fred and Effie Law Graham. She lived in several Nebraska communities before moving to Cozad in 1924. On Oct. 1, 1925, she married Beryl Thomason at North Platte and the couple made their home in Cozad. Mrs. Thomason enjoyed playing the piano and gave lessons for many years. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary. Survivors include three daughters, Norma (Mel) Zoerb of Gothenburg, Joan (Roger) Stear of Gering and Janice (Bill) Ahrens of Coachella, Calif.; a sister, Meryl Grisham of Gothenburg; a brother, Harry Graham of Sutherland; 17 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1960; a daughter, Eilene Stevens; three grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Memorials are suggested to First Presbyterian Church. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at First Presbyterian Church in Cozad with the Rev. Steve Deines officiating. The body was cremated and private inurnment of the cremains will be in Cozad Cemetery. Berryman Funeral Home is in charge.
