Denis Weber GRANT — Denis Weber, 49, formerly of Grant, died Feb. 4, 1998, at the Hillcrest Nursing Home in McCook. He was born Jan. 1, 1949, in McCook to Ernst and Roselene Bedore Weber. He grew up on a farm between Trenton and Culbertson, attending grade school in Culbertson and graduating from Trenton High School in 1967. He then attended McCook Community College for two years. On July 11, 1970, he married Connie Brown at McCook. They moved to Grant in 1971, where he worked for Tatum’s Processing. In 1976, he became the butcher for Skeel’s Jack and Jill. He worked until 1986, when he had to retire because of multiple sclerosis. He was moved to the Grant Nursing Home in 1992 and to McCook in 1993. He is survived by two sons, Jason of Offut Air Base in Bellevue and Justin of Camp Lejeune in North Carolina; a grandson, Tyler; his parents, Ernst and Roselene Weber of McCook; two sisters, Erlene of Denver and Angela of St. Louis; and a brother, Tilden of McCook. Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. MT today at the Grant Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the church with the Rev. Val Bartek celebrant. Burial will be in the Grant Cemetery. Bullock-Long Funeral Home is in charge.
