Harold B. Wenburg LEXINGTON — Harold B. Wenburg, 96, of Lexington died Dec. 7, 1997, at the Tri-County Hospital in Lexington. He was born March 16, 1901, at Fullerton to John H. and Hilma Linden Wenburg. He grew up in the Oconto area and he had lived in the Cozad and Lexington areas since 1919. On April 22, 1946, he married Elizabeth Wilson at Norton, Kan. She preceded him in death on Aug. 21, 1997. Mr. Wenburg farmed for 25 years prior to driving truck for area hay mills, retiring in 1970. He enjoyed yard work and gardening and being with family and friends. Survivors include a daughter, Margie (Tom) Nelson of Lexington; five sons, Harold (ReNelda) Wenburg of Cozad, Floyd (Alice) Wenburg of Lexington, Kenneth (Juanita) Wenburg of Elm Creek, Kenneth (Mary) Statler of Desert Center, Calif., and Gary (Linda) Statler of Westminster, Colo.; a brother, John of Cozad; 24 grandchildren; 54 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by two sons, a grandson, his parents and two brothers. Memorials are suggested to the Plum Creek Care Center at Lexington. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Reynolds-Love Chapel in Lexington with Pastor Doug Smith officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Lexington. Visitation will be from 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. today at Reynolds-Love Chapel in Lexington, which is in charge.
