Josie White EDISON — Josie White, mother of Jerry White and sister of Glen Wells, both of Cozad, died Feb. 3, 1998, at Good Samaritan Hospital at Kearney. She was 90. She was born April 25, 1907, at Edison and was a lifelong resident of that community. On Dec. 30, 1941, she married Earl “Dutch” White of Minden. He preceded her in death. Mrs. White had moved to Cozad six months ago to be near her son, Jerry. Survivors include two daughters, Betty Brown of Edison and Gloria (Donald) Foster of Salem, Ore.; two sons, Jerry of Cozad and David (Cathryn) of Coventry, R.I.; a brother, Glen Wells of Cozad; 34 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by three daughters, Bonnie, Agnes and Arva; three sons, Ralph, Paul and Tom; and her parents. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Christian Church in Edison with Pastor Ryon Sander officiating. Burial will be in the Oxford Cemetery at Oxford. Wenburg Funeral Home of Beaver City is in charge.
