The first meeting to organize a Soil Conservation Office in Logan County was held June 5, 1947. The first man appointed as Work Unit Conservationist was Floyd Hougland. Present Conservation agent is Ted Clapper. This office give annually conservation awards and pictures of the farms to outstanding farmers and ranchers who have applied the conservation practices. Recipients have been 1956, L.V. Ambler; 1956, Alma Brown; 1960, Harvey Raynard, in Logan County. By Mrs. Ted Clapper.
