- Looking for information on my Grandfather, George DOBNEY. He
lived with his parents and siblings on a farm in the 1920
census.

- William Smith BENSON was in Madison Co. Ne. in the 1880
census (Jefferson Precinct). Came to Ne. in 1863 with a daughter
and possibly his 1st wife Unknown 1st name nee BENNET. Married
Margaret CARNES in abt 1874 in Madison Co. In 1884 & 1885
they were mentioned often in the Burnett Blade Newspaper. What
happened to them? Where did W.S. BENSON die? When did his first
wife die? The daughter that came to Ne. with him was Laura
Elizabeth Benson -my great grandmother. Family story has her
with 2 older sisters - names unknown. She was born near Lansing
Mi. in 1861. His father was Scottish.

born in either Connecticut or Vermont and is buried in Newman
Grove, Nebraska. He was married to Frances (or Fidelia)
BARROW(s). Any information on either of these two people would
be greatly appreciated.

- Searching for info on Syver Arneson BRAGER born in Bagn,
Valdres, Aurdal, Norway. Emmigrated to WI about 1852. Served in
the Civil War as a drummer in a Wisconsin Unit. Died in Newman
Grove, buried in Trinity I Cemetery. Did he own his own farm or
did he share crop. In the 1899 plat he's not shown as owning
property. One of his four daughters, Anno, married Hans
SYVERSON, another daughter married ?? OLSON and at some time
moved to Canada, Maria married Martin KOBBERVIG, believe his
other daughter married ?? HARBOTTLE.

d. Aug 07, 1971 in Newman Grove, Madison Co., NE Rose married
(Unknown) KLITZKE. Her siblings were William b. Nov 1884; Dick
b. Jul 1889; Clara b. Oct 1891; Emma b. Mar 1893; Martha b. May
1894; Herman b. Apr 1897; Lillie b. May 1899; Minnie b. Aug
1901; Della b. Jan 1904, Gladys b. Apr 1907, and Irving b. Sep
1908. I would greatly appreciate information on any of these
people or their families.

- Looking for any information for family of William Henry
COOLEY who lived in Norfolk from mid-1880's to around 1902.
Employed as conducter on the Elkhorn Valley RR and on board of
directors of old Elkhorn Valley (real estate) Investment Co.
that developed Hillside Terrace. Cooley Avenue, now 16th Street
was named for him. Daughters Jesie Mable and Bessie Troll (a
nurse), and son Guy (worked for old Fair Co.)
