Looking for information on William Christoph and his wife Hannah. They went to Nuckolls Co from Darke Co, OH after April 1883 and died sometime after July 1884. His will was processed by L.P. Coin, County Judge, but the date is given as being before the will date. Would like any information on this family, but especially would like death date and place of burial of William and Hannah. I am attempting to fill in blanks in the family history for Bissell P Rice. Present information indicates that he had a store in Nora in the 1890's. Also raised cattle,which would havehim near the edge of town. There were three daughters and one son who well might have left the family nest. He was a member of the Methodist Church in Nora according to his obituary. He died in 1923 at the homeof a daughter, and is buried with his wife Candice White Rice in Quinter Ks.

I hope to find information on my gg-great uncle, John (Jack) Carpenter and his family. John (Jack) Carpenter, b. 14 Feb 1836, in ?Highland County, OH, d. 16 Apr 1924 in Superior, Nuckolls Co., NE. He served in the Civil War, probably in an eastern Iowa unit. His parents were John Carpenter (-1836) and Francis Ellen (Fanny) Garver (1809-1899), who remarried Ephraim N. Adams in 1838 and relocated to Washington Co., IA, by 1850. John (Jack) married Ellen Louisa Rogers on 28 Mar 1858 in Johnson Co., IA. They had four children: William Fremont Carpenter, b. 25 Dec 1858; Viola Arvilla Carpenter, b. 22 Mar 1862; Eva Jane Carpenter, 1 Mar 1867; and Ada Catherine Carpenter, b. 15 Apr 1869. It is assumed that all four children were born in Johnson Co., IA. It is not known when or why John (Jack) moved to Superior, NE, or whether his wife and children moved with him. I am just beginning my search of this branch, so any and all information will be greatly appreciated. In return, I can share much information about descendants of my ggg-grandparents and their other three children, Elizabeth Jane, Catherine and Daniel -- especially Daniel, my gg-grandfather. Henry born 1836 NY and his wife Sarah (Unknown) born 1846 IN had three known children; Ella Banks born 1866 IA, Emma Banks born 1869 IA, and Ralph Banks born 1875 IA.
