Thomas Cole born 1842 in Devon England and died 1920 in Otoe county.  His wife Elizabeth Chapple was also born in England in 1842 and died in Otoe county in 1914.   Some of their descendants are living today in the southeast Nebraska area. The pdf document attached here was provided by distant cousins to the Thomas Cole family and provides much insight to the ancestors of Thomas Cole and their life in England  and  the story of Thomas' brother James Humphrey Cole and his eventual settling in New Zealand and of Thomas' travels to Japan before arriving in Nebraska.
