Seeking information on descendants or siblings of Elmer Ruffner (1893 Marshall Co,KS--1972 Otoe Co, NE). His mother Susi Lienhart Ruffner was my grandmother's sister. Believe Elmer was raised by John and Bertha Lienhart True of Avoca after his mother's death in 1905. Any information on True family would be helpful also. Thanks, Jane

Looking for anyone with a RODERICK connection. Jeremiah M. Roderick, b.Sept 1856, immigrated from U.K. in 1889 with his son William G., b.Sept 1879. Jeremiah's older brother, John Roderick, had preceded him to Bennett, NE. Jeremiah and William lived in Bennett and in Palmyra. William had two brothers who immigrated to Canada in 1910 and 1919. I have family history to share.

Have just returned from Czech Republic and research in the archives there. Kuwitzky family came from Rokitnitz, Bohemia, now Czech Republic. They were Sudetendeutsch.

Believe John Thomas, Englishman, sailed from Liverpool to Baltimore and by rail to NE 1870-73. In 1870 he would've been about 19.

Looking for any and all information on Walden Kinison [first name also Waldo, Waldan, Waldon; last name also Kinnison, Ken(n)ison, Kin(n)iston, Ken(n)iston] and family. Wife Sarah Jane (Blazzard) Kinison and son Oren Kinison. They show up in the 1860 Census for Otoe Co. and were part of the Mormon community, but they had moved to St. Charles ID by 1871. Possible other relatives: Abram Kinison, Adaline Kinison, Lydia Kinison, Nathaniel Kinison.

Seek info on William SHOWELL and father-in-law Richard SEDDON (SELDON in census) who came from England in 1856 and appear in the 1860 census for Nebraska City, Otoe Co. They went to Utah circa 1857, backtracked to NE before 1860, but returned to Utah before 1870. Showell's brother-in-law, Illinois-born Henry Clay FORBES, also reportedly lived in Otoe Co. between 1865-1869. Did they leave a paper trail?

I have been unable, thus far, to obtain any records regarding this business, though I have one of the calendars she published at the time. I have been searching for some time for my ancester William Brown. William BROWN was born 1/31/1847 in RI. He would have moved with his parents to NE about 1861 settling in Syracuse, Otoe Co. He married Cecelia ? there in 1868. In 1906 he and some of his family left for North Dakota (He died there on 5/21/1926). Supposedly William and his brothers and father hauled freight from Syracuse to Denver. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

I am looking for information on Martin Amil Wieckhorst will or probate records, any infor on his wife Sarah Evelyn Pugh and her parents. They lived south of Nebraska City, Otoe County, Nebraska. Martin died at about 35 from blood poisoning. The Wieckhorst farm should have been on the 100 year list. any info on Sarah would be helpful. She died about 1951 of brain cancer.
