John Henry Brand died 2 Jan 1919 in Syracuse, NE. He was born in
MO 13 Sep 1854. His parents and older siblings were from
Prussia. I am looking for what town or county in MO he was born.
There was an article that told that his parents were killed by
lightning there or in Tecumseh, NE. He is buried in Spring Creek
Cemetery with his parents.
I hope to find where he was born in MO and whether he had an
older brother named Fredrick William Brand born 21 Mar 1844 in
Germany. Two younger siblings were William and Minkin Brand.
I am also interested in finding if John Henry Brand's father
(Johans Heinrich Brand/Brandt) was born in Scotland. His mother,
Fredrick Louise ? was from Germany. I think both parents were
killed by lightning in Johnson County, NE, while plowing a field
on 14 Jun 1874.
Can anyone find a news article about John Henry Brand's parents
for me? Or any information about this family?
