Schmitt Family Sod House

The Decatur Co. KS Historical Society forwarded the photos which were from the Leonard & Ann Schmitt family of Brandon NE. The photos were taken in the 1970s, but the sod house was originally built about 1870 by a Mr. Kerr. In 1973, when the photos were taken by Leonard & Ann Schmitt, the house was occupied by Violet Schmitt.
