Carl Ludwig Nickel, a brother to Mrs.
(Minnie)Frank Kaiser and others of Western. 

Carl Ludwig Nickel was born Dec. 2, 1859 at Doberpuhl,
near Doelitz. He came as a widower with his only
daughter Martha to this country and settled near
Fairbury, Neb. He made his home with his daughter
until the year 1917 when she died. Since then he lived
in Western. He died January 17, 1926 at the age of 66
years, 1 month and 15 days.

His wife preceded him in death, many years ago. He
leaves to mourn his death 1 brother August Nickel, 3
sisters Augusta Dallman, Minnie Kasier, and Millie Hubbell.
