DIED
J. W. Rhine of Lincoln, for many years a resident of this city and a member of the Crete 
Holland Post, died at his Lincoln residence Thursday morning April 14 from a general failing 
health. The remains will be brought to Crete for burial in Riverside Cemetery and the funeral 
services held from the J. W. Townsend residence Sunday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock. An obituary 
of the deceased will follow in next weeks issue of the News.

(Transcribers note: J. W. Rhine was married to Nancy Goodin, daughter of Isaac and Francis 
(Gardner) Goodin. Margaret Elizabeth Goodin, another daughter of Isaac and Francis, was married 
to John Wesley Townsend. The funeral was held from the home of Margaret Elizabeth and 
John Wesley Townsend.)
