The Peninsula Daily News, Port Angeles, WA on March 2, 2007. Fern Marjorie KOZY Sept. 7, 1927 - Feb. 28, 2007 Fern Marjorie Kozy died of cancer in Gardiner. She was 79. Born in Crete, Neb., to Orval Jay and Edna Engee (Hedval) Chrisman. Grew up in West Seattle, where she raised her family. Married James Gill Brown in Seattle. They later divorced. Married Pete Kozy, also in Seattle. He preceded her in death. Mrs. Kozy is survived by sons and daughters-in-law Daniel and Janette Brown of Seattle and Jacob and Jenece Brown of Sequim; daughters and sons-in-law Lezlie Jane and Jonny Layefsky of Seattle and Lisa and Blair Akamine of Honolulu; brothers and sisters-in-law Ed and Adel Chrisman of Sequim and Jim and Renea Chrisman of Kingston; brothers Eldon Chrisman of Sequim and Chris Chrisman of Seattle; sister Elaine DeWitt of Seattle; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Services: Sunday, March 4, 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., memorial in Gardiner Community Center, 980 Old Gardiner Road, Gardiner.
