DEDICATION


TO the patriotic sons and brothers of Saunders County who went forth at the call of duty and did service for their country on land and sea during the world's conflict for international democracy, this volume is affectionately inscribed in the hope that future generations may find inspiration to noble acts and deed in this memorial to the loyal men and women of Saunders County who generously devoted their time, talents, and means, to upholding the cause of universal freedom in the crisis of world affairs in 1917-1919.
