JACOBSON, JOHNSON posted by Cay Merryman on Sunday, December 28, 1997

JOHNSON - JACOBSON
In the 1900 census there lived in Pohocco Twp.the Nels JOHNSON family listed as follows:

Nels and Jensina(Jacobson) had been married 19 years, had 11 children, 7 living. Both came to US in 1879 21 years earlier. They went to the Buffalo, ND area about 1915. It is thought that Nels name originally had been Greggorsen in Denmark and that thought is supported by the fact they named their 1st child Gregor. Relatives perhaps named Howard and Stanley Johnson remained in the area and perhaps died in Fremont, NE. Any help appreciated.

BERGQUIST posted by Brian Tingley on Friday, February 6, 1998

I am searching for information on my great grandfather FRANK W. BERGQUIST who was a minister for the Lutheran church and traveled extensively. He is believed to have served at the churches in either Wahoo and/or Malmo sometime in the period 1884-1892 or possibly around 1904. His son JOHN W. G. (WILLIAM) BERGQUIST, born July, 1885 married ADELE (UNKNOWN LAST) who, following William's death of influenza in 1912, never remarried and remained in the Wahoo area for the remainder of her life.
I am interested in any information regarding (1) Frank's service to area church(s), (2) birth information for any other children born to FRANK and AURELIA BERGQUIST during their stay in the area, and (3) the death date and burial information for WILLIAM and/or ADELE BERGQUIST.
Thanks to anyone who can help me in my search for long-lost ancestors!
