MCMILLAN, OMAN posted by Avis Mathias on Thursday, January 18, 2001

I am looking for information on the William McMillan and the R. McMillan families whose addresses were Cedar Bluffs P.O., in Saunders Co. NE, according to the 1870 Federal census index.
Apparently one or both of these families came from eastern Canada. A son in one of these families was Wm McMillan, born in Canada on March 31, 1863, grew up in Saunders Co, and then went to Wayne Co. NE where he worked as a farm hand, and in Dec. of 1888 married Minnie Oman of Wayne. The father to the Wm McMillan of Wayne, moved to someplace in Oregon where he lived out the rest of his life. The mother's name was Margaret. Does anyone have information on these Saunders Co McMillans? Do any records show where they came from in eastern Canada? Please e-mail me if you have any information at all. Thank you for your help!
