I just found a newpaper report of my gg-grandmother's (Melissa Thompson) death at https://sites.rootsweb.com/~nesaunde/obits/hedlund/independ-16.html in the Death Notices & Obituaries From the INDEPENDENT Newspapers July 26, 1883 - December 27, 1883. I know that my gg-grandfather (J. R. Thompson) also died in Wahoo in May 1899, at the home of his daughter Georgia Thomas. I am looking for any information on the following people. Theodore P. Totten, Nella/Nellie I. (Howe)Totten. In the 1910 Census for Ashland, Saunders County: Theodore was the owner of the Burlington Hotel that was on Silver Street. Listed with him in that census was a boarder by the name of Margaret and his father-in-law Philip Howe however, his wife was not listed with them. Theodore died in 1913 and his body was taken to Greenwood, Missouri for burial. Nella died in January 1920 and is also in Greenwood, Missouri.
