This query is really for any interested descendents of this couple. I have found a framed marriage certificate (February 6, 1912 Wahoo, NE) in a large antique/collectibles store in Redlands, CA. Perhaps someone would really like to bring it back to the family. Of course, it is for sale there.
Mr. and Mrs. Virgl are mentioned in a "Past and Present" for Saunders County as seen on a NEGenWeb site.
I am trying to find information on my grandfathers ancestors. His name is Otto Albert Randell, if you can help me find his nationalization information about 1910, there may be information concerning his ancestry.
I am seeking information on Lucy Weed Rish, her daughter Pearl Rish and son James Orie (J.O.) Rish. Lucy and children are shown in Valparaiso, Saunders County, in the household of her brother Samuel Weed in the 1880 Federal census. J.O. is listed as a "servant" in the McFarling household in Oak Creek Precint in the 1885 State Census. Although I have additional information about J.O. including his obituary in 1951. I have been unable to find anything about what happened to Lucy and Pearl. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
I am working on my geneaology with other family members. We are building our tree on Geni. com. We have exhausted ourselves trying to find the maiden name of M. Louisa Lindblad.
HEADSTONE INFO:
J. Isak Lindblad = born June 22, 1840; died Oct. 13, 1884 in Weston, Saunders County and his wife M. Louisa (also known as Louise) = born April 10, 1844; died October 12, 1913 They had 7 children, three of whom were born in the Saunders County, NE, United States:
(1) Alfred Lindblad = Born about 1879 in Chapman, Saunders County (2) August Lindblad = Born October 16, 1880; died Feb. 12, 1883 (3) August Isaac Lindblad = Born April 24, 1883 in Weston, Saunders County; died March 17, 1949 in Beatrice, Gage County Married Sylvia A. Orleans (Wray, Colorado) October 4 1911; She died March 17, 1949; Beatrice, Gage County Married Christine Schank in 1921 (Beatrice, Gage County)
We are trying to research the Maiden Name of M. Louisa Lindblad (also known as Louise). We think It could be Sastrom, Safstrom, or Bybdahl (not sure of Bybdahl spelling). An obituary for August Isaac Lindblad printed her maiden name as Sastrom. That is the only printed documentation we have thus far. Maybe the obituary missed the "f." We would like more solid or further documentation to solve this mystery. I hope I am doing this correctly. If not, I apologize. Any help or direction would be so appreciated.
I got your website by contacting the Nebraska Historical Society. They were so very nice.
