Mrs. Chris Anderson of near Davenport, Nebraska, died recently.
Julia Gilliland, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Gilliland, was born in Oakwood in May 1885.
Her parents moved west while she was a child. As a young woman she lived in the old Smith homestead.
She married Chris Anderson thirty-one years ago, and to them was born one son, who died in childhood.
Besides her husband, she leaves an adopted son, three brothers, E.C. of Willard, Colorado, Sam of Denver, Colorado, and Rowe of Phoenix City, Alabama. She was a cousin of Clide Smith of this city.
