Benedict is a station on the St. J & G. I. Division of the U. P. Ry in the northern part of York County 10 miles from York, the county seat. It is favorably situated in a rich agricultural country, and the grain and livestock trade is a very important business interest. The population is about 200. Two hotels provide accommodations for the public. The Bank of Benedict attends to the financial needs of the community.
