I am interested in locating information and photographs about a grocery store located at the northeast corner of Central Avenue and 21st in Kearney? The name of the store was Central Market owned by Lyle ORVIS and Dick BENNETT. It was at this location from 1943? until 1948. They lost their lease and Rexall Drugs opened a store on that corner. Next door to the north was the Singer Sewing Machine Store in 1948.

I am researching my Grandfathers birth in Elm Creek Ne. Harold DAVID born on Sept/25/1886...parents are Charles Wesley DAVID & Mary Jane [BUCK] I was recently at the Elm Creek Cemetery and found the grave of John W DAVID, which matches my records as an Uncle to my Grandfather, but have found nothing to indicate they lived in the area, probably as farmers. Do you have any info on this family ? or any of the DAVID's ? John W married a Minerva LEMASTER ?

I am seeking any information on Jerome BACKUS and I believe to be his brother, Rennie BACKUS, who lived in Pleasanton Nebraska, located in Buffalo County, in or around 1890. Both were business men, Jerome owning a Restaraunt, and Rennie , a Livery Stable. I have lost track of them in my research from this town and am curious if anyone knows who they were married to, names of children, and where/when they moved from Pleasanton.
