Nora L, Harris, Entriken

April 30, 1978, South Sioux City Star

Services for Mrs. Nora (Tuke) Entriken, 82, 323 W. Third St., who died Sunday in a Sioux City hospital after a brief illness, were held Wednesday at the Jack Becker Funeral Home.

The Rev. Milton Nothdurft officiated. Burial was in the Dakota City Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Wayne and Elvis Shanks, Gene Harris, Paul Bauman, Bob Mason, and Marvin Stone.

She was born Nora L. Harris Jan. 5, 1896 in Sioux City. She was married to William Oscar Entriken. He died May 24, 1938in Sioux City. She resided in South Sioux City all her life.

She was of the Methodist faith.

Survivors include four sons: Lyle of Sioux City, Bob of Grant Pass, Oreg; Howard of Portland, Ore.; Leo of Hawthorne, Calif. one brother, George Harris of Sioux City; a sister, Mrs. Lena Norton of Hawthorne, Calif.; 17 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren.

Mary L., Beatty, Engelbrecht

April 15, 1978, South Sioux City Star

Services for Mrs. Richard H. Engelbrecht, 45, 52 Bridge Drive, Sioux City, a former South Sioux City resident, were held Saturday at the First Lutheran Church in South Sioux.

The Rev. Karl H. Konig, the pastor officiated. Burial was in Graceland Park Cemetery, Sioux City.

Mrs. Engelbrecht was a kindergarten teacher at Hawthorne Elementary School in Sioux City for 21 years.

Mrs. Engelbrecht, the former Mary L. Beatty, as born Jan. 22, 1933, at Luverne, Minn. She attended public schools in Luverne, graduating from high school there. She attended Augustana College at Sioux Falls and was graduated from Morningside College in Sioux City.

Mrs. Engelbrecht was married Aug 5, 1956, at Luverne.

Survivors include the widower; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd H. Beatty of Luverne, and two sisters, Mrs. Ruth O’Neal of Wayzata, Minn., and Mrs. JoAnn Turner of Missoula, Mont.

Mrs. Wykoff Endersby, an old resident of this place died Wednesday evening, and was buried Saturday from the M.E. church, Rev. Paxton officiating.
Irey Endersby came Friday to be present at the funeral of his mother, Mrs. Wykoff Endersby.
