Road Map of Howard County Note: East to West county roads are numbered from south to north. Hwy 58 through Boelus is 3rd Ave. Hwy 92 is 11th Ave east of Hwy 281 and 13th Ave to the west. West of Hwy 11, 20th Ave is Dannevirke Rd and east of Hwy 281, 17th Ave is Cushing Rd. North to South roads are named in alphabetical order from east to west. Historic Note: Paplin was a Church Community in Howard county, 1/2 mile from the Sherman Co. line. Most of the people getting married there had to get a license in Howard Co., but many lived in Sherman Co.....Oak Creek is a township, in Sherman Co. Paplin was also know as Chojnice....Farwell was also called Posen at one time...and just East of Posen was a church community called Warsaw. Choynice was north of Posen.
