Mr. and Mrs. John Lucht (nee Rosina Praeuner-Ketterman) children were Mary, who celebrated her 96th birthday on February 14, 1967, now lives in the Lutheran Rest Home in Norfolk; Anna (Mrs. Charles Schroeder); Lena (Mrs. August Hohenstein); Rosa (Mrs. Fred Reeker); and John, Jr.

Mr. and Mrs. Carl Praeuner (nee Mary Eyl) children were: Anna (Mrs. Fred Bierman); Katie (Mrs. Charles Heggemeyer); Fred, married Mary Borchers); Mary, (Mrs. Jacob Knapp); Charles, married Eda Lampert; Henry, married Alma Merz; Lena (Mrs. Bruno Hansen); Minnie (Mrs. Walter Tegeler); Rosa (Mrs. Ed Rodekohr); George, married Laura Heggenmeyer; Gustave, married Clara Unkel; August, married Edna Krueger; and Elizabeth.

Mr. and Mrs. John Praeuner (nee Wilhelmina Schott) children were: John, who married Fredericha Jost; William, married Wilhelmina Volk; Fred C., married Minnie Bierman; and Minnie, married Fred Hofmann.

Mr. and Mrs. Fred Scheerger (nee Margaret Schott) children were: George, married Cora Arnold, a niece of Pastor and Mrs. Laura Manley; Fred, Jr., married Lena Warneke; Charles, who died while a student at the Teacher's College in Seward; and Ernest, who married Martha Munson.

Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Schott (nee Anna Eyl) children were: Charles, married Anna Dinkel; Otto, married Anna Hofmann; Martha (Mrs. Henry Wisch); Pauline, Paul, and William who married Anna Wegner.

Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hohenstein (nee Margratha Schott) had two children: August, who married Lena Lucht, and William, who married Emma Tomhagan.

Mr. and Mrs. George Seckel (nee Katherine Schott) children were: John, who married Amelia Polloch; Mary (Mrs. Andreas Thomsen); George, Fred and Katie.

In 1869, came a party from Grayson County, Virginia, F. J. Hale, his brothers D. A. Hale and John D. Hale. With the Hale brothers also came C. H. Reeves and T. C. Osborn. They came by ox teams from Omaha. Soon followed brothers and sisters of these men and many other relatives — The Dufpheys, Thomases and Coxes. They settled mostly in Schoolcraft Precinct.

Others who settled in Schoolcraft Precinct were: Carl Praener, SE1/4 of Section 1; Fred Scheerger, Sr., took the SE1/4 of Section 2-22-3; Allen (Shine) Osborn came from Virginia and settled on the SW 1/4 of Section 2-22-2; J. C. Osborn on SW1/4 of Section 3; Luke Reeves in Section 7; Rufus Thomas, NE1/4 of Section 8; F. M. Dufphey, NW1/4 of Section 8; Frank Dufphey, SW1/4 of Section 8; and F. J. Hale had files on the SE1/4 of Section 8. Mr. Hale also acquired the SW1/4 of Section 9 and a part of Section 9; C. H. Reeves homesteaded the SW1/4 of 11 and
