One of the earliest pictures of Wahoo. The windmill stood on the intersection of 5th and Broadway, in the exact center of the street. Everyone came to the town mill for water when they needed it. It was dismantled in 1876 after years of service. |

Lee's method of transporting merchandise from Omaha to Wahoo in the early days. The wagons in the foreground are loaded, the others are empty. It took wagon trains such as these about a week to make the trip to Omaha and back, crossing the Platte at Ashland on the hard Saline deposits. |
