Mr. and Mrs. Donald Hanson

   Donald W. Hanson, father of Dwight and Victor Hanson, resided in Ithaca, Nebr.

   Don Hanson drilled and serviced many wells in the community and its surrounding areas from 1932 until he retired in 1975. He passed on in December of 1978. We remember his contribution to the community and others.

   The Weston Co-operative Credit Association is located in the former Farmers & Merchants Bank of Weston building. The bank went under during the depression years, and the Co-op Bank was started in 1934, with Anton F. Fisher, as Secretary-Treasurer.

   When Anton Fisher was called into the Army in 1942, Joe L. Kubista took over as Secretary-Treasurer. About 1955 Emily Barry took over, with Helen Hedges, as her assistant.

   In 1962 Emily Barry resigned and Ray Fujan was appointed Secretary-Treasurer, with his wife Clara and Agnes Rezac as parttime assistants.

   Debbie Vasa was hired as the 3rd assistant in 1981.

   With the help of the faithful customers and directors, the Association has had 49 years of steady growth, to the present total assets of $1,543,464.00.
