Cemetery map

This is a complete recording of the cemetery, walked and recorded by Charlotte Bromley Croshaw, November 2001 and walked and proof read December 9, 2001. Some of these stones are very difficult to read. Some will not be readable in a very short time. Although the compiler has taken great care in the reading of these stones the information should be verified through other sources.(CharFive@aol.com)

"The beginning of Saint Mary's Parish 1873 was originally known as the Malloy Settlement. First Mass was offered in Michall Malloy's Dug Out in 1869. In September 1873 the Catholic families decided to build a church on the ground known as Saint Mary's Cemetery. A plot of three acres donated by Patrick Malloy, Sr. This church was originally known as Saint Patrick's Church and later changed to Saint Augustine. Bishop Bonacum, first bishop of Lincoln, referred to Saint Augustine's Church as the Mother Church in Saunders County". (Erected 1993 by the cemetery committee)
