Lakeside: Peak population (1940), 152. Post office established July 28, 1888. Town named for nearby lake when the railroad was built. There are many lakes surrounding the town.

little snow on the ground.
This Lakeside State Bank check (probably 1930s) was found in the
vault, which
remains, but The Quality Store building is gone.
