This is a scanned copy of the 1876 school census for district 40, Thayer county Nebraska. This district was located in Township 1 North, Range 1 West and included the children of Rose Creek City. Rose Creek City was located in Buckley precinct, section 7 of Jefferson County and is no longer in existance. Evidently children from district 36 Jefferson county, and district 40, of Thayer county, attended the same school.
