The first board of trustees of Hebron met May 9, 1872, with the following officers elected: L. J. Correll, chairman; E. M. Correll, clerk; J. B. Smith, A. C. Ring and O. H. Scott trustees. The second meeting was held May 16th. Ordinance No. 1 was entitled "An Ordinance to Establish By-Laws and Rules of Order for the Government of the Board of Trustees of the Town of Hebron, Nebraska." Ordinance No. 2, "An Ordinance for the Suppression of Saloons and Other Disorderly Houses."
