Mrs. Carrie Render was born in Indiana in 1840 and died in Hubbell January 30, 1900, aged about 60 years. When quite young she was left an orphan and cared for by friends. She was united with the M.E. Church under the labors of Rev. Wm. Underwood at Avoca, Ill, in 1878, and was a faithful christian til death. She was married twice and leaves besides her husband, three children in the east who mourn the loss of a kind mother. In 1889 she was married to M. Render of Hubbell, who feels keenly the loss of a loving wife and devoted companion, who for the last ten years had been the joy of his household. For the past two years she has suffered much, but was patient and trustful. The funeral was largely attended, and was held from her home, conducted by her pastor Geo. M. Morey.
