LAWLESS and DOW
Married at the residence of the bride's parents near Alexandria, Thursday evening, June 13th, 1885, Mr. Frank Lawless of Hebron to Miss Bertha Dow of Alexandria. The bride and groom are both well known in Thayer county, and have many friends who join with THE JOURNAL in extending congratulations. The bride is a graduate of the Hebron high school [Class of '94] and is a successful teacher in Thayer county; she is possessed of many charming qualities. The groom is a young businessman, engaged in the implement business and is the junior partner in the firm of Watson, Lawless & Co. The happy couple have commenced housekeeping in their newly furnished house on North Fourth Street.

Lukins - Sperry
WEDDING--LUKINS--SPERRY.
At the residence of the bride's parents near Belvidere, Neb., on Thursday eve, May 10th, 1894, Mr. F. J. Lukins, Assistant Superintendent of the American Well Works, of Aurora, Illinois, to Miss Mabel A. Sperry, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. S. L. Sperry, Rev. L. D. Willard officiating.
The ceremony was performed at 8 o'clock in the presence of a large number of invited guests. After the tendering of congratulations by those present, the wedding banquet was announced, and all adjourned to the dining hall to partake of the sumptuous viands. This paper joins the numerous friends of the happy couple in cordial congratulations and wishes them long life and prosperity.
Mr. and Mrs. Lukins were the recipients of many costly, beautiful and useful gifts.
