1. Sergeant Albert R. Knox,    Son of Oscar G. Knox, Riverdale, Neb.
Entered the service at Alliance, Neb., June 2, 1918; trained at Ft. Riley, and Camp Benning, Ga., later transferred to the quartermaster service, and stationed at Perry, Ohio. Now stationed at Camp Benning, Ga. Enlisted at age of 16 years.

2. Private William R. Phillips,    Pleasanton, Nebraska.
Entered the service at Lincoln, Nebraska, October 1, 1919, taking up Radio Work. Any other information could not be obtained.

3. Private Ernest M. Crosby,    Son of A. R. Crosby, Kearney. Neb.
Entered the service at Kearney, Neb., June 15, 1918, and trained at Lincoln, Neb., and Camp Sherman, O., for service with Co. K., 362d Infantry, 91st Division and saw service in the Lys and Scheldt drive in Belgium. Discharged April 25, '19.

4. Private LeRoy Pfeiffer,    Son of Mrs. Sophia Pfeiffer, Sartoria, Neb.
Entered the service at Kearney, Neb., Oct. 3, 1917; trained at Camp Funston for service with Headquarters Co., 355th Infantry, 89th Division, saw service in the St. Mihiel and Argonne-Meuse sectors, also with Army of Occupation.

5. Private Emil Veit, Jr.,    Son of E. Veit, Ravenna, Neb.
Entered service at Kearney, Neb., in September 1917, and trained at Camp Funston for service with M. G. Co., 137th Infantry, 35th Division, with which he sailed to France. He saw active service with the 35th, until its demobilization.

6. Private John Cameron,    Son of Dan Cameron, Odessa. Neb.
Entered the service at Kearney, Neb., May 28, 1918; trained at Camp Dodge, Ia., and De Souge, France, with Hdq. Co., 338th F. A. 88th Division, which had been ordered to the front when the armistice was signed. Discharged Jan. 16, '19.

7. Private Edward P. Esterman,    Son of Joseph Esterman, Kearney. Neb.
Entered the service at Kearney, Neb., Oct. 3, 1917; trained at Camp Funston and Camp Mills, for service with M. G. Co., 138th Infantry. Saw service in the Argonne Forest, returning with his division. Discharged about May 1, 1919.

8. Private Lewis W. Klinzman,    Kearney, Nebraska.
Entered service at Kearney. Neb., May 28, 1918 and trained at Camp Dodge for service with M. G. Co., 88th Infantry. Saw service in France with his division, returning with them for demobilization.

Entered the service at Chicago, Ill., December 17. 1917, and trained at Northwestern S. A. T. C., Chicago, Ill., for duty with Medical Reserve, and received his discharge paper December 12, 1918.

2. Corporal Frank Loskot, Jr.,    Son of Frank Loskot, Medford, Ore.
Entered the service at Ravenna, Neb., September 8, 1917, and trained at Paris Island and Quantico, Va., for duty in the 18th Co., 10th Reg. Marine Corps.

3. Private Leonard Spencer Lovitt,   Son of Mrs. Grace Lovitt, Kearney, Neb.
Entered the service at Omaha, Nebraska, and was trained at Camp Scott, for duty with the Ambulance Service of the United States Army. Received his discharge papers on November 16, 1918.

4. Second Lieutenant John C. Botsford,    Son of M. F. Botsford, Kearney, Neb.
Entered the service Sept. 20, 1918, and trained at Officer Training School at Ft. Monroe, Va., for duty with the Heavy Artillery, in U. S. Army. Received his discharge papers February 27. 1919.

5. Silas A. Wadley,    Son of J. W. Wadley, Humboldt, Neb.
Entered the service at Kearney, Neb., April 2, 1918, and trained at Camp Funston, on the Psychological Board, Provisional Motor Transport. Received his discharge papers March 25, 1919. Auto mechanic, Kearney, Nebraska.

6. Private Clete Torrence,    Son of S. P. Torrence, Riverdale, Neb.
Entered the service at Kearney, Neb., Sept. 19, 1917, trained at Camp Funston, for duty in Co. A, 341st M Bat. Saw service in St. Mihiel, and Meuse-Argonne offensive. Discharged July 11, 1919. Farming near Riverdale, Neb.

7. Private Martin F. Blaschka,    Son of Thomas Blaschka, Ravenna, Neb.
Entered the service at Kearney, Neb., March 4, 1918, trained at Camp Crain, Pa., for duty in Base Hospital First Army Corps. In France eleven months, but [?] battles. Discharged June 7, 19l9.

8. Private Burton M. Armstrong,    Son of Mrs. Viola Armstrong, Kearney, Neb.
Entered the service at Lexington, Neb., March 4, 1917, trained at Camp Funston and Camp Grant, for duty with Co. E, 5th Engineers, seeing service in France with the American Expeditionary forces. Discharged July 13, 1919.

1. Corporal Robert R. Meline,    Son of Gust A. Meline, Kearney, Neb.
Entered the service February 8, 1918, and was trained at Vancouver, Wash., and Camp Merritt, for duty with Co, C, 318th Engineers. Saw service in Argonne drive and Grand Pre battle, Nov, 6, 1918, at Verdun on November 11.

2. Second Lieutenant R. B. Daugherty,    Son of Mary T. Daugherty, Kearney, Neb.
Entered the service at Kearney, Neb., in September, 1917, and trained at Camp Funston, Camp Pike, Camp Taylor, Camp Jackson, Camp Sheridan and Fort Dodge, for duty in Field Artillery, 85 Reg. Discharged in December, 1918.

3. Second Lieutenant J. F. Nelson,    Kearney, Nebraska.
Entered the service in May, 1917, and trained at Camp Cody, Camp Taylor, Camp Jackson, and Ft. Sill, for duty with Hdq. Co., 134th Infantry, 34th Division. Received his discharge papers in December, 1918, at Ft. Sill.

4. Sergeant Harry N. Mann,    Son of R. D. Mann, Kearney, Neb.
Entered the service at Holdrege, Neb., Sept, 20, 1917, and trained at Camp Funston, for duty with Co. C, 89th Division. Saw service in St. Mihlel, Argonne Woods, and siege of Metz. Discharged March 20, 1919. Farming near Mascot, Neb.

5. Private Roy Taylor,    Son of Ralph Taylor, Amherst, Neb.
Entered the service at Amherst, Neb., in September, 1917, and trained at Camp Funston, for duty with Hdq. Co., 355th Infantry, and saw service at St. Mihiel, Argonne-Meuse, and later in Army of Occupation.

6. Corporal Clarence Taylor,    Son of Ralph Taylor, Amherst, Neb.
Entered the service April 30, 1914, and saw six months service on the Mexican border, with Co. L. Transferred to 127th Field Artillery, for overseas duty, and received his discharge January 22, 1919.

7. Corporal Delmar C. Landis,    Son of Mrs. Daisy Landis, Kearney, Neb.
Entered the service in July, 1917, and was trained at Camp Dix, for duty with the 134th Infantry, (Rainbow Division). Crossed to France in October, 1918, and served with the Army of Occupation in Germany.

8. Private Ira Verne Landis,    Son of Mrs. Daisy Landis, Kearney, Neb.
Entered the service at Lexington, Neb., August 26, 1918, and trained at Camp Funston, Kansas, for duty with Depot Brigade, 10th Division. Received his discharge papers on March 23, 1919.

1. First Class Musician, Caster W. Pierce,    Son of B. B. Pierce Kearney, Neb.
Entered the service at Grand Island, Neb., July 12, 1918, and trained at Great Lakes, Illinois, for service with the U. S. S. Matsonia Band. Crossed the Atlantic six times during the eight months service. Discharged April 29, 1919.

2. Ph. Mate, Oscar E. Geist,    Son of O. O. Geist, Ravenna, Neb.
Entered the service at Omaha, Neb., June 5, 1917; trained at Goat Island, Calif., in H. Corps, U. S. N., Co. E. 13th Reg. Marines, and at present is on duty at St. Nazairre, France.

3. Second Class Q. M., Thomas C. Bolan,    Son of Mrs. Thomas Bolan, Elmcreek, Neb.
Entered service at Omaha, Neb., June 9, 1918, and trained at Puget Sound, Seattle, Wash., later placed on U. S. S. Western Maid; transferred to U. S. S. Don Juan de Austria. At present in Portsmouth Navy Yard, Portsmouth. N. H.

4. Second Class Petty Officer R. A. Tibbetts,    Son of Mrs. M. A. Tibbetts, Ravenna, Neb.
Entered the service at Omaha, Neb., July 2, 1918; trained at Great Lakes, Ill., in the Aviation Dept., Co. H., Aviation 15th Regulars. Served until January 10, 1919, when he received his discharge. Lives at Ravenna, Neb.

5. Private Fred B. Reynolds,    Son of S. S. Reynolds, Kearney, Neb.
Entered the service at Omaha, Neb., March 27, 1918, and was trained at Annapolis, Maryland, for service in the U. S. Navy. Received his discharge on February 8. 1919, and at present is with the Nebraska Telephone Co.

6. Bugler, Albert LeRoy Henninger,    Son of S. A. D. Henninger, Shelton, Neb.
Entered the service at Omaha, Neb., June 2, 1918; trained at Great Lakes Naval Training Station for service in the navy; placed in the Naval Reserve, March 2, 1918 [sic]. Present address, Shelton, Nebraska.

7. Seaman, Orval L. Mast,    Son of Ira C. Mast, Julesburg, Col.
Entered the service at Omaha, Neb., July 13, 1918; trained at Great Lakes Training Station, Great Lakes, Ill., for service in the U. S. Navy. Received his discharge on March 7, 1919, and resides at Julesburg, Colorado.

8. Second Class Seaman, Lincoln Milbourn,    Son of William Milbourn, Elmcreek, Neb.
Entered the service at Denver. Colo., Nov. 13, 1917, and trained at U. S. N. Training Station and at Puget Sound. Later transferred to Cuba on the U. S. S. Ludlow, where he remained for several months.

1. Private Lloyd L. Carlson,    Son of Alfred Carlson, Gibbon, Neb.
Entered the service at Kearney, Neb., Oct. 3, 1917; trained at Camp Funston and Camp Merrit, serving with Co. I, 125th Infantry, 32d Division through Chateau Thierry and Alsace-Lorraine drives. Discharged April 21, 1919.

2. Private William John Patterson,    Son of A. J. Patterson, Kearney, Neb.
Entered the service at Kearney, Neb., Feb. 2, 1918; trained at Vancouver Barracks, Vancouver, Wash., for service with Co. C, 318th Engineers. Was still in France at the time this biography was written.

3. Second Lieutenant Joseph M. Fitzgerald,    Son of O. E. Fitzgerald, Kearney, Neb.
Entered the service at Kearney Neb, July 21, 1918: trained at Camp Dodge, Ia., and Camp Taylor, Kentucky, for service with the Artillery, F. A. C. O. T. S. Received his discharge December 18, 1918. Now practicing law in Kearney.

4. Private Fred E. Sober,    Son of J. H. Sober, Shelton, Neb.
Entered the service at Kearney, Neb., Sept. 19, 1917; trained Camp Funston and Camp Cody for service in Co. B 58th Infantry. Crossed in June 1918, wounded August 6, 1918. Nothing has been learned regarding him since August 6. 1918. [See here for further information]

5. Private Rudolph Conrad Richter,    Son of Fred D. Richter, Kearney, Neb.
Where he entered the service, or the date, is not known. Later it was learned he belonged to the 123rd Heavy Artillery, and had served with the Americans in France. At present is at Lintgen, Luxemburg, with the A. A. O.

6. Private Karl F. Richter,    Son of Fred D. Richter, Kearney, Neb.
Entered the service at Kearney, Neb., May 10, 1917; trained at Camp Cody, and Rockwell Field, San Diego, Calif., Mach. Gun Co. 134th infantry It is not known whether he served in France, and his present address is unknown.

7. Private Norman M. McLaren,    Son of Murdock McLaren, Gibbon, Neb.
Entered the service at Fort Logan, Colo., May 6, 1917, and trained at Fort Riley and Fort Mills, for Coast Artillery service. Transferred to 11th Co. Philippine Islands; present address Fort Mills, Philippine Islands.

8. Second Lieutenant Donald W. McLaren,    Son of Murdock McLaren, Gibbon, Neb.
Entered the service at Fort Snelling, May 14, 1917; trained at Fort Snelling and Camp Dodge, for service in the Infantry and Machine Gun Service. Served with the 88th Division in France until the Division was demobilized.
