This was Ferdinand's second marriage, his first wife, deceased

This information comes from a query

Union Ledger, no date given Matrimonial Mention.
Two of our popular young people, Walter Stotler and Miss Nellie Eaton, drove up to Plattsmouth on Thursday of last week, and going to the office of Judge Douglas that afternoon they made known their desrie to enter into a matrimonial alliance. The Judge issued the required document, and added a nice little marriage ceremony.
The contracting parties are both well known in this part of the county where they grew from childhood. The groom is an industrious young farmer and is a son of our worthy pioneer citizen Wm. Stotler. The bride is a popular young lady who is highly esteemed by many friends, and is a daughter of our respected citizen Eli Eaton. We understand they will make their home on a farm east of this village, where we hope they may enjoy all the pleasures of prosperity and happiness.

[NOTE: This was from Dr. Gilmore's clippings scrapbook and there was no date on the article. However, a Nellie Stotler is in the burial lists as having been born in 1883 and died in 1908. This is doubtless the same Nellie Eaton Stotler
of the article in the obituary section.]

MATRIMONIAL MENTION

Mr. John Chase and Miss Lucy Bauer were married at 10:30 Tuesday evening at the home of Rev. S. R. Dillon, in the presence of only a few friends. The wedding was a very quiet affair, in fact was known only to those present until next morning. After the ceremony the newly wedded couple visited the home of the groom's parents until early morning, when they departed for Omaha for a few days visit with relatives. Upon their return they will take up their residence in this city where they have a comfortable home recently purchased.

Both are quite well and favorably known here, where they have resided a number of years and they have the best wishes of their many friends who hope they may be blessed with happiness, contentment and prosperity.
