Archibald "Archie" McCoy, born August 1833 in Ireland, immigrated to the U.S. in 1852. Married Elizabeth_________?, probably about 1856-57. Lived in Iowa and Illinois before moving to Phillips, Hamilton County, NE sometime around 1890. Elizabeth died before 1900, when Archie was living with his son, Archibald Jr. (b. Oct. 1867 in IL)in Phillips. Any information about Archie or Archie Jr. deeply appreciated. Archie Sr. probably died in Phillips, but the date is unkown. Archie Jr. md. Leona M. _______? (b. Sept 1875) about 1894. By the 1900 census, Archie Jr. and Leon had no children listed (unusual in those days). Any information about Archie Jr. or Leona is welcomed.

CRANSTONE, John and Margaret Melinda first appear on the 1880 Hamilton Co. census. I can follow them thur until John's death in 19ll, Hamilton Co.Margaret Melinda CRANSTONE is on the 1920 census with a grandson Levi LENTZ living in Stockton. Her son John and Katie CRANSTONE appear to be living on the farm in Orville Precinct then with their family. I would like to contract anyone working on this family history. CRANSTONE or LENTZ. Margaret Melinda and John moved from Michigan to Nebraska in about 1879 with 3 small children and having at least 4 more in Nebraska. When my ggrandmother was 7 she was sent back to Michigan to keep house for John's father. I have lots to share on the Michigan part but would like to contact some of the family that must still be in Nebraska.

Looking for information on William P. GARDNER. He was born January 1840, in Scotland, to John and Jeanette GARDNER. He had sisters, Jeanette "Nettie" GARDNER MASON SUTHERLAND (1842 - 1923), Jane and Elizabeth. He had a brother, George. I think William was a carpenter. The family lived in Peoria, IL, until ca 1870. John and Jeanette (wife) went to Rock Island County, IL. William married Sarah born October 1878, Ohio, and Edna was their daughter, b 1890. After Jeanette GARDNER died in Oregon in 1895, John GARDNER came to live with William, near Giltner, NE. John died there July 19, 1897, and was buried in Prairie Cemetery, Giltner, NE. William's sister, Nettie SUTHERLAND, lived in Port Byron, Rock Island, IL.

They gave land for North Blue Methodist Church. I am specifically looking for these church records as they may help me to find reference to the preceding generation and to the two children that I believe were buried there.
