Seeking information on the Greenfield Pruitt and his descendants. Greenfield Pruitt was born March 1854 in central Illinois (probably in one of these counties - Montgomery, Macoupin, Greene, or Jersey). He married Catherine Carriker on 18 Dec 1876 in Montgomery Co IL. Catharine was born December 1852 in Illinois. They had at least 3 children: Hazel, Seder and Lester. Greenfield was the son of Martin and Minerva Jackson Pruitt.

RI 85 Hampton, Nebraska
Who owned the farm on the above address in 1928?
Knowing the answer will enable me to further trace my family Nebraska. I have a letter with this return address from the brother (Henry Christiansen) of my grandmother. He writes in the letter that he lives with an aunt. I would like to know who this could be.

I have two connections to Hamilton County. The first is HANNAH GUMMERE, who was my Great-Grandmother. She was born in Hamilton Co, somewhere around Giltner. Two of her siblings, Alseda and Carrie, are listed in the family Bible as having died in Giltner. The John Gummere family was in Hamilton Co from aprox 1880 to 1896, when they moved to Southerland.
My second connection is AURORA REBECCA EICHELBERGER. Her birthplace was Aurora, Hamilton Co, and she was my great grandfather's second wife, after the death of Hannah. The David Eichelberger family was in the county from aprox 1885 to 1900, when they moved to Paxton.
