Married, Tuesday, December 20th, at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Samuel McKie, Charles Gibson and Aggie McKie. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel McKie, one of our oldest settlers and most prosperous farmers living north of Jansen on Cub Creek. The groom is a brother of our townsman, John Gibson, and son of Mr. and Mrs. John Gibson, one of our earliest settlers. The event was attended by a large number of friends and relatives. Among the numerous presents received were,--bed spread, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Babcock; dozen napkins, Mr. and Mrs. Humberger; dozen napkins, Mrs. Black; table cloth, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Palmer; bed spread, Mr. and Mrs. John McKie; pair towels, The Misses Palmers; butter knife and sugar shell, Mr. and Mrs. W.H. Adams; silver cake dish. Miss Richards and brother; bread plate; Miss Ella Humberger; fruit dish, Claude Gibson; lamp, Miss Lizzie McKie; lamp, Mr. and Mrs. Ackerman; pair towels, Mr. and Mrs. W.A. Babcock; album, Jesse Gibson; album, John Hoppe; set of flat irons, Mr. and Mrs. John Nider; sugar spoon, Chas. Nider; pillow slips, Miss Marcia Babcock; shaving cup, Mrs. Black; silver pin tray, Bessie Nider; Jersey cow and calf, Mr. and Mrs. Samuel McKie; set chairs, Mr. and Mrs. Gibson; couch, Mr. and Mrs. John Gibson.

Montelius/Erwin

On Thursday evening, March 2nd, at 8 o'clock Rev. J.D. Walkinshaw united in marriage Thomas H. Erwin and miss Sallie Montelius, two estimable young people of this city. The ceremony took place at the residence of the groom's mother on north A street, in the presence of only the most intimate friends. Mr. and Mrs. Erwin will make their home in this city. They are both industrious and well liked, and will have the best wishes of their acquaintances for future happiness and prosperity.
Moody/Diller

Married, at the residence of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Moody, Helvey, Neb., May 11th, 1898, Miss Emma Moody and Mr. George F. Diller, Rev. Carter officiating. About sixty invited guests assembled to witness this important event in these young peoples' lives. At 12 m. the bridal couple descended the stairs and marched into the parlor which was very prettily decorated for the occasion. After taking their places Rev. Carter stepped forward and commenced the ceremony which united this young couple to fight the battle of life as husband and wife. The ceremony over, the happy couple was fairly smothered with congratulations of their many friends. The bride was very becomingly attired in a dress of tan henrietta trimmed in white mousseline de soie, while the groom wore the conventional black. Congratulations over an elegant dinner was served to which the guests did ample justice. At a late hour the guests departed for their homes wishing the happy couple bon voyage through life. Miss Moody is the youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Moody and Mr. Diller is the eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Diller. This young couple need no introduction as they are bothwell known to all, having been raised in this county. Mr. and Mrs. Diller wer the recipients of many valuable presents. They will go to housekeeping at once on the farm known as the Switzer farm where the groom has a house nicely furnished for his new bride. Those from a distance were R.W. Cole and wife, Bower; Mrs. Hedges, Fairbury; Mr. and Mrs. Geo. White, Steele City and C.E. Stewart and wife, Pawnee City.
Mullen/McCord

On wednesday, Feb. 3d, at 3 p.m., Mr. Chas. A. McCord and Miss Hattie Pearl Muller were married, Judge Boyle officiating. After the ceremony the party drove to the bride's home where supper was waiting. A wedding dinner was given Thursday, over thirty guests being present. Many useful presents were received by the bride and groom. Mr. and Mrs. McCord will be at home to their friends after the 8th inst. one mile west of Endicott.
