In Oct 1865 my gg-grandfather Hamilton Boyd Garton and his son Elijah were killed by Indians near Alkali Station near present Paxton. Several years ago a cousin told me that a rancher in the Paxton area while building a road dug into a grave site. The remains were removed and reburied. Does anyone have any information or newspaper articles concerning the finding of the grave site or know who to contact?
