Am interested in finding out info about a Joseph MEYERS/MYERS family that included a daughter Jennie born abt. 1857. She married George Emery HEATH on 19 Oct 1875 in Nuckolls county, NE. She was the daughter of Joseph MYERS, Superior, Nuckolls county according to the marriage certificate.

G. Emery was the son of Mathew HEATH and Emily EDWARDS HEATH, born IA. Emery had brothers Eli HEATH and Matthew (Pick) HEATH. Pick later married Emery's second wife, Flora Mae after his death in the late 1890's and they lived in Frontier county. Flora Mae is buried in the Farnam cemetery in an unmarked but located grave.

Jennie and G. Emery HEATH had three children: George (1876), Olive (1878) and Joseph (late 1879 or early 1880, was 4 months at time of 1880 census). They are listed on the Saline county, Wilbur precinct 1880 Federal census.

By June 29, 1884 they had divorced and on that date, Emery married Flora Mae HASKINS.

Family lore has it that George and Joseph took part in the Spanish-American War and their uncle Eli never heard of them again. Have not been able to find that info in the War records but that is not to say it is not true. A family member would very much like to find more information about this HEATH connection.

There is an Olive P. HEATH, age 22, born May 1878 Nebraska, in the 1900 OREGON census in Multnomah county, 6th precinct listed as a nurse, servant, father unknown, mother born KS, living in another household, that really fits the bill for the Olive of the 1880 census but again have not been able to secure any further documentation of her.

Hoping that your HEATH or MYERS research and this makes a connection. Was unsuccessful in e-mailing to . Has this connection been removed from your query list?
