Kansas-Nebraska Act offsite
Nebraska Territory
Officially the Territory was created on May 30, 1854, and the State on March 1, 1867. Before 1887, Perkins Co. searchers must use history of the territory (before 1867) or state (after 1867) and think in terms of earlier county names such as Keith, Lincoln, Shorter, etc., for the region now known as Perkins Co. This book was written by Wm Cutler and published by Omaha: J. M. Wolfe & Co., Publishers. 1882. There is also a search form for this online book.
