The precinct captains for Marble were Mr. Edgar A. Griffis, former cashier of the Bank of Wann, Mr. Geo. Heldt of Yutan, and Mr. Harry L. Gilbert of Wann. The school board also rendered very valuable assistance thru Mr. D. Grimes, who was a most energetic war worker in this community. The loans were handled with the assistance of the school board.

   The precinct captains for Oak Creek Precinct were Jul Petermichel and W. C. Elmelund of Valparaiso. As in most precincts thruout the county the banks themselves subscribed for the first loan. The remainder were handled thru the bank, but the school board assisted in getting subscriptions thruout the precinct by personal solicitation. The drives went thru in fine style in this community, exceeding their quota in almost every drive.
