YUTAN LIBERTY LOAN
Yutan of Union Precinct was made the headquarters of Liberty Loan work in that district, with Mr. Peters and Mr. Zaugg as precinct captains. The first quota was subscribed by the bank, the others were put thru by means of drives with the members of the school boards and the precincts as solicitors for them.
The precinct did remarkably well, and great credit is due the solicitors on each of these drives for the fine showing they made.

WESTON LIBERTY LOAN
The work of handling the funds subscribed in the several Liberty Loan drives fell on the banks in the county, and Weston for Chapman Precinct did unusually well in putting thru their campaign for funds, going over their quota in almost every drive. In the first drive the banks themselves took up the entire loan, and the others were ably assisted by the school board in getting subscriptions. The precinct captains for Chapman Precinct were Mr. Frank Koudele of the Weston Bank, and Mr. Ferdinand Pacal of the Farmers and Merchants, whose photos appear below. The school board consisted of:
Joseph Samek, moderator; A. H. Lehmkuhl, treasurer; Frank Koudele, Jr., secretary; R. E. Novak, W. H. Nolte, James Nemec, Frank Pavlik.
