says in my documentation (which is a word of mouth record from a deceased aunt) that my
grandmother was born at Clay Center Nebraska..so I'm not certain if that was a place or township
or what now that I get only Clay county when I put it in.. Her name was Alice Sevilla Barton born
November 30,1892 and her father was Rozalvo DeLoss Barton and her mother was Lydia
Catherine Ringer she was one of 8 children I know at least 2 of the others were born there and
there was a set of twins Thomas and Harvey born on July 4, in 1889?? I think one died within 2
days and the other Thomas I think lived to be 8 but the one was buried at Fairfield Cemetary. If
you have anything to offer me I would appreciate the help. Thanks

second child, Elizabeth Phillips were born in Sutton. They moved to Hastings sometime after
Elizabeth was born in 1906-07 where Dr. Phillips practiced dentistry. Dr. Phillips may have lived

I am look for anyone who is related to the following. John Andrew Carlson was born to Anna R.
Newberg or Andreson and Andrew P. Carlson. John was born September 18, 1852 in Princeton,
Bureau County, Illinois. John had 2 other brothers Henry Alex Carlson born August 15, 1854 and
David W. born September 8, 1856. Henry and David were probably born at Burlington, Iowa.
John may have had 3 sisters that did not live to be adults. Augusta was the daughter of Johan and
Britta Burgeson. Augusta was born at Skallared #3 Farm, Onsala Parish, Sweden on June 10,
1857. Augusta was the oldest of 5 children. Augusta, Born June 10, 1857; Johan Patrik Born
November 12, 1859 and passed away June 14, 1861, Ida Pauline born June 5, 1862 married
Andrew J. Peterson, Axel Albin born August 21, 1864 and passed away September 12, 1864.
Bertha Nathaliz born January 11, 1866, married Charlie Rudd in 1883 and passed away in
February 1885 in Filmore County Nebraska. Augusta and her parents and 2 sisters came to
America in 1870 or 1871. Family think they first went to Memphis Tennessee and the moved to
Burlington Iowa. John and Augusta Carlson were married on November 20, 1877 and Ida and
Andrew Peterson were married March 7, 1883. Both couples were married in Burlington, Iowa.
John and Augusta moved to this area in the 1882 - 1883 from Burlington, Iowa and first settled in
Bryant township in Fillmore County. It is appears that John's parents and brothers Andrew and
Anna Carlson, Henry Carlson and David Carlson and also Augusta's Family Johan and Britta
Burgeson, Ida and Andrew Peterson and Bertha Burgeson also moved at the same time to
Fillmore County Nebraska. It is unclear when John and Augusta did move into Ong, Clay County,
Nebraska but was probably around the year 1894 as that was the year that Augusta joined the
Methodist Church there. John and Augusta had 12 children Arthur, Lillie, Oren, Henry, Hattie,
Clarence, David May, Roy, Bertha Eudora, Laura and Virgil. John was employed as a carpenter.
He built many of the homes in the Ong area including the home that they last resided in which is
still standing. The last I knew the Postmaster in Ong resided there. John Carlson passed away on
March 14, 1928. Augusta continued to reside in Ong, Nebraska until her death on January 6,
1940. John and Augusta are interned in the Ong Cemetery. If anyone has any links to the above
families please contact me.
