Lillian Elizabeth (Lee) Urich, 1895-1926 [and infant Urich, at 3 days]
GREAT SORROW COMES TO HENRY URICH HOME The home of Henry Urich in Council Bluffs, Iowa has been visited twice within the past week by the Angel of death. On New Years Day their two day old infant baby passed away and early this morning word reached Scotia that Henry's wife had been called by death. The baby's funeral was held in North Loup on Monday of this week and immediately after the funeral Henry drove back to Council Bluffs. Word came that he found his wife getting along nicely upon his return, but this morning a telegram came to North Loup saying that she had passed away. The remains are being brought back to North Loup, her former home, and interment will be made in the cemetery at that place where the baby was laid to rest on Monday. The many friends of the family in Scotia will extend to Henry and all of the relatives the most heartfelt sympathy.

Lillian Elizabeth Lee Urich was born in Valley County, Nebraska, August 4, 1895 and died at a local hospital in Council Bluffs, Iowa, January 5, 1927. Age 31 years, 5 months and one day. At the age of 13 she moved with her parents from Mira Valley to North Loup, Nebraska. She received her education in the schools of North Loup and was a high school graduate of the class of 1913. She grew to womanhood here and was united in marriage at Council Bluffs, Iowa, November 26, 1923 to Henry Urich of Scotia, Nebraska and to this union two children were born, one boy Harold and one daughter Wilma Jean, who died after a brief stay of two days, on January 1, 1927. A week before the birth of her child she suffered from an attack of pleurisy and bronchitis leading up to the flu, which doubtless enervated her physical powers so that she was unable to stand the combined complications of diseases. She was taken to the hospital and after all the best medical skill could do, she bade good bye to the scenes and struggles of this life to be reunited with those who had gone before. She is survived by the husband and one son, Harold Lee Urich of Council Bluffs, Iowa; four brothers, Henry, Edward, Paul and Earnest of North Loup, and six sisters, Mrs. Martha Otto of Grand Island, Mrs. Louisa Eberhart of North Loup, Mrs. Neeley Kountz of Elmwood, Mrs. Emma Eberhart of Ord, Mrs. Katie Bartz of Fairbury, Miss Mable Lee of North Loup, a large number of nieces, group of friends and neighbors who mourn her untimely departure. Funeral services were conducted from the North Loup M. E. Church Sunday afternoon by Rev. Richard Gibb and the remains were tenderly laid to rest in the North Loup cemetery in the presence of a large concourse of people.
