I'm looking for info on my ggrandpa Elmer Grant Kiser. I believe he went by E. Grant or Grant
Kiser. He was married to Aminda Nixox, daughter of George William Nixon. They had one child
Earl L. Kiser born Dec. 15, 1893 in Fairfield. I know the Nixon's were involved in wheat farming.
I think the Kiser's were farming also.

My grandfather, Charles N. LACY married Edna SHERIDAN in Sutton in 1917. Although they
lived other places for a short time, they spent most of their lives there. I am looking for more
information, stories, etc. on them and their children (Jack, Kathleen, Imelda, Jim, Bill, Edna and
Philip) for a family history.

Sylvester Congrove and his family settled here early in that 1870's or after the Civil War. He had
10 children. Many that stayed and had their families too. Many Congroves still live around the
Hastings City area.

I have information on WOLFORDs and BRIGGs of Clay County. Earliest is William and Mariah
Briggs, both born in England, homesteading near Clay Center in the mid 1800s. John and Sarah
Wolford arrived near Clay Center in the 1870s. One of their sons, Horace, married Deliah Briggs.
I have collateral lines and willing to exchange more information. Regards, Diane
