- Researching John D. STAUFFER, his wife Mary VARVEL, and their 9 children-

- KITZBERGER, VALANDRY
posted by Nick Alther on Monday, June 9, 1997
- I am seeking information regarding the parents of my great grandmother, Anastasia
(KITZBERGER)
VALANDRY. Anastasia was born in 1875 (place unknown) and died on Feb. 9th, 1921 in
Bennett County, SD. She worked as a school teacher in the early 1890's in Sheridan County
before her marriage to my great grandfather. She married Vetal VALANDRY on Oct.
7th, 1893 seven miles north of Hay Springs, NE on the C.W. KITZBERGER homestead. I
know Anastasia had two brothers, Frank and Anton. She also had two half sisters, Annie and
Kate. Although I don't know her fathers first name, I believe he ran a freight line in
Nebraska in the 1890's before moving to Omaha. I also think that her mother originated
from Carroll County, Iowa. Nick Alther, 8380 Schroeder Rd, Rapid City, SD 57702. (605)
