Ora was the daughter of Ralph Burdell HACKNEY b. 1 Jan 1861 in CANADA and married on 2 May 1884 in 2 May 1884 in Tekamah, Burt Co.,NE. to Mary A. STITES b. 14 Jan 1868 in La Porte, La Porte Co., IN Am most interested in learning of the family homestead or schools attended, etc. Any info on a Sarah Hackney Brown would also be appreciated.

Married Melissa Olivia HOPKINS on March 16, 1886 in Aurora, Hamilton Co., Nebraska. They had at least five children born in Custer Co., Erwin Leonard born Dec, 1886, Viola born Nov, 1888, Emmet born Aug, 1890, Raymond born Jan, 1894, and Bertha born Feb. 1896. Charles was a farmer and Livery man when he came to Oregon.

She was Emma LIVERT METZGER. Born May 11, 1860 in Hanover Germany. Immigrated to US in 1867 to live near Alexander, Jefferson Co., NE. Emma and Minnie were sisters. I am interested in who their parents were. Did Minnie leave any children? Are there descendants still living in the area?

Also his father, William Frederick MORRISON and his mother, Virginia Lucinda LICHTENBERGER. Both moved to Illinois, and then possibly Nebraska, from Somerset, Pennsylvania in the mid 1800's.

Several cousins presently live in Custer County, some have moved to Dawson County. My father, Garland, was the son of Sam and Clara (OBERG) Tickle. Sam and Clara Tickle homesteaded at Talin Table then moved to Dawson Co. My father was married to Doris OLLENDORF who presently resides in Dawson Co. (Gothenburg).

Delos parents Nathaniel L. and Lucinda Eaton Hopkins of York and Clay counties, NE. Delos and Luella had a homestead in Custer Co, near Arnold and Broken Bow. They moved to Oregon in 1901. Would like to have info. on siblings of Delos: Myron & Byron Hopkins of Broken Bow; David Hopkins of Callaway; Mary Hopkins SINGER of Aurora. Luella Shipley's parents were T. Jefferson & Lavina Show Shipley of McCool Junction.
